๐Ÿ“ Canada to Texas: A Fresh Take on Industry Connections

Bryan Barsness (Prophet North America) and Tom Vitale (Deodato Tony & Sons Ltd)

Over the past few weeks, Bryan had the privilege of attending two incredible produce expos โ€“ each offering a unique lens into our ever-evolving industry.

๐Ÿ CPMA 2025 in Vancouver was a powerhouse of Canadian produce innovation and relationship building. As the largest fresh produce event in Canada, Bryan was thrilled to reconnect with long-time partners and explore exciting new opportunities nationwide. A special congratulations to CPMA on their 100-year anniversary โ€“ what an incredible milestone!

Bryan reiterated that he was grateful for conversations that went beyond the showroom floor โ€“ this dinner captured the spirit of collaboration that makes events like CPMA so impactful.

๐ŸŒฎ Then came Viva Fresh in Houston, where the Tex-Mex Corridor took center stage. This event sparked important conversations around industry challenges โ€“ from regulations and trade to volatility and tariffs โ€“ and how we can overcome them through tech, transparency, and strong partnerships to ensure year-round, sustainable production of our food supply.

โ€œAttending both CPMA and Viva Fresh reminded me how vital our global connections are. Whether itโ€™s the heart of Canada or the soul of Texas, our shared mission is clear: to keep fresh produce moving forward โ€“ smarter, faster, fresher in an efficient and sustainable way.โ€ โ€“ Bryan Barsness

A huge thanks to everyone who made both events so memorable. Bryan was proud to represent Prophet North America โ€“ and now heโ€™s gearing up to try his hand at pickleball for the first time at the West Coast Produce Expo in Palm Springs.
