Director JD van Wyk has been in the fresh produce business throughout his life. Raised on an export grape farm in rural South Africa, he completed a BSc (Agriculture) in 1998 at the University of Stellenbosch and in 1999 began his career as a produce exporter before joining the Prophet SA team in 2005. He has been at the forefront of its success ever since and even found time to complete an MBA part-time at Stellenbosch in 2006.

JD has extensive experience in perishable logistics and supply chain management, perishable exports and general management.

An avid Crossfitter, mountain biker and wine lover, JD is also a keen reader of good books, a motoring enthusiast and part-time property investor.
