Senior Developer QX

Senior software developer Mark van Tonder obtained a Computer Science Diploma in 2003 from CTI and started working for Prophet in the same year. He started as part of Prophet’s technical staff and did support programming in between tasks until the end of 2004. In 2005 Mark was made responsible for supporting, training, developing and maintaining Prophet’s packhouse, farm and cold store systems.

Near the end of 2007, he started working on the Pr2 software with the main task of developing specifications for the South African industry. He was also involved in training System Champions on Pr2, while continuing to develop and maintain existing South African software.

As one of the few individuals in the business with both QX and Pr2 experience, he’s responsible for Prophet SA development and maintaining current libraries.
